Heart Of Niagara Animal Rescue

Heart of Niagara rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes dogs from high kill shelters and local surrenders. We have adopted over 800 dogs to loving families in WNY. We conduct home visits to help ensure the dogs are the right fit for their new families and the families, for them. Before adopted, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, and any medical/dental issues have been addressed by our veterinarian. We are a no-kill rescue and offer sanctuary for dogs struggling with behavioral or medical issues that may require time for healing until the right home is found.

The mission of our Corporation is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted, homeless companion animals by helping to reduce the staggering number of innocent animals senselessly killed each day. As an organization we will provide shelter for our animals until they are placed with suitable adoptive families. Prior to adoption our animals will be evaluated, vaccinated and spay/neutered by licensed veterinarians. We recognize the need for low-cost spay/neuter services and vaccination/micro-chip clinics for the health and safety of the animals in our community and will work to attain these services. Our rescue will work to educate the community on the importance of pro-active measures in regards to proper/responsible animal care, the prevention of cruelty to animals, and the consequences associated with overpopulation.
